09/01/2022. Ahal won the first round of the Turkmenistan Football Championships after beating Ashgabat 3-2 in the 7th round match.
This victory enabled Ahal to increase the gap of 4 points from its closest pursuer Altyn Asyr. Ahal earned 19 points after the first round of the national championships.
Merv with 13 points closes the top three, being 2 points ahead of their closest pursuer – Shagadam from Turkmenbashi.
The second round of the Turkmenistan Football Championships starts on September 2.
