These summer days at the height of school holidays are full of interesting cultural, educational and sporting events for young citizens of Turkmenistan. The competition on “The Best Children’s Recreation Centre”, which turned into a bright and joyful event for young participants, took place at the Beyik Serdaryn Ruhubelent Nesilleri children’s recreation centre, in the picturesque locality of Gekdere.
The main aim of the exciting competition, organised by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the recreation and sports centre of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, the Political Council of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, the National Centre of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan and the Central Council of Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, is to instil in children a lasting love of sports, promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity as well as organise exciting, interesting, entertaining and useful leisure activities for boys and girls. The contest that brought together children from all the children’s recreation centres in Gekdere vividly evidenced a great affection of children for physical activity and sports.
What a sporting event without winners; valuable prizes and diplomas were awarded on behalf of the organisers to all young athletes who had showed the best results.
