11 athletes of the Turkmenistan national team are performing in the judo tournament of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which are taking place in the city of Konya (Republic of Turkey).
On August 15, a member of the Turkmenistan national judo team, a 5th year student of Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction Hakberdy Jumaev won a bronze medal. Hakberdy’s rivals in the fight for the medal were the athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Algeria and Yemen and his compatriot Aybek Omirov.
More than 4,000 athletes from 56 states are taking part in the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games.
