The Turkmen weightlifters are showing excellent results at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which are taking place in the Turkish city of Konya.
A member of the Turkmenistan national weightlifting team Hojamuhammet Toychiev (+ 109 kg) lifted 184 kg in the snatch and won a silver medal. He lifted 225 kg in the clean and jerk and won a bronze medal.
The coach at school 7 of the Mary Main Department of Sports and Youth Policy Hojamuhammet Toychiev became a bronze medallist with a total result of 409 kilogrammes.
The athletes from Turkmenistan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran competed in this category.
