The Closing Ceremony of the 7th Children of Asia International Sports Games took place in Vladivostok.
1,355 athletes from 13 countries performed at the Games. They competed for 273 sets of medals in 19 sports for 11 days. The Turkmenistan national team ranked tenth in the team event with two gold, three silver and eleven bronze medals. The Turkmenistan team has performed at the Children of Asia Games for the fourth time since 2008.
The Children of Asia International Sports Games are held every four years under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee and UNESCO. They were first organised in 1996 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the modern Olympic Movement.
Over the past 25 years, thousands of young athletes from more than 30 Asian countries have participated in the Games and won of the Olympic Games, world and continental championships.
The next, 8th Children of Asia International Sports Games are scheduled to take place in Yakutsk in 2024.
