On June 10, the celebrations honouring the winners of the international tournaments took place within the walls of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.

The athletes from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the world and Asian championships in such sports as weightlifting, freestyle wrestling, belt wrestling and judo, and also showed good results in other international tournaments in January-May 2022.

The heads of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sport, large public organisations, renowned coaches, athletes and students attended the award ceremony.

The athletes who had performed and won the champion titles and prizes of the world, continental and national championships expressed sincere gratitude to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan for creating excellent conditions for practicing sports and training. This will certainly help them conquer new heights in sports in the future.

The Sagdyn Nesiller ensemble presented the musical accompaniment to the solemn award ceremony at Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.

The participants of the celebration adopted an Address to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
