On May 24, 2022, the 2023 AFC U-17 Asian Cup Qualifier Draw was held online in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Turkmenistan national youth team was drawn into Group A together with Japan, Jordan, Japan and the Philippines. The qualification matches are scheduled to be played this year.All matches will be held in Jordan.
Bahrain will host the 2023 Asian Cup finals.
