The Archery Federation of Turkmenistan has got its website. It offers content in three languages – Turkmen, Russian and English at the Internet address: archery-tkm.art.
Visitors can find a lot of information not only about the Federation and archery, but also sign up to practice this Olympic sport.
Archery revived in Turkmenistan in 2015 upon registration of the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan with the Ministry of Adalat. In the same year, the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan joined the Asian Archery Federation (AAF) at the Congress in Bangkok and became a member of the World Archery Federation (FITA) at the Congress in Mexico in October 2017.
Since the registration of the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the archery clubs have opened in Ashgabat and Mary and Dashoguz velayats, and Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports has been training specialists in this sport.
The short-term plans of the Archery Federation of Turkmenistan include the preparation of Turkmen archers for the 31st Summer World University Games and the 19th Asian Games, which will be held respectively in Chengdu (China) from June 26 to July 7 and in Hangzhou (China) from September 10 to 25, and the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games, which will take place in Konya (Turkey) on August 9-19.
