On the open arena of the equestrian complex in Ashgabat, show jumping competitions were held, dedicated to the National holiday of the Turkmen horse.
Spectator stands began to fill with fans in the early morning. After all, show jumping is truly the most spectacular kind of equestrian sport. Many Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital strive to personally attend the competitions in order to see the strength, beauty and grace of the Akhal-Teke horses from a close distance.
Before the start, in the small warm-up arena, jockeys conduct jumping training, hone the height of their jumps and tune in to a sporty mood. Riders and their faithful horses will face a difficult struggle, so you need to be as focused as possible to achieve the desired result.
Having familiarized themselves with the scheme of the main route, the athletes began to overcome 12 obstacles, requiring at least 15 jumps. Among the participants of this competition are already well-known riders and beginners. Nikolai Beglaryan, winner of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, sets a good tone for the competition, riding the horse Toychi.
In the first round, the height of the obstacles was 110 centimeters. Eight athletes, admitted to the next stage of the competition, managed to overcome them. In the second round, the height of the obstacles was 120 centimeters. And here the undisputed leaders were determined.
The first position was taken by Nikolai Beglaryan, who accurately passed the distance in a short time. The second place was taken by Seytymam Seyidov with his horse Akgala.
The struggle for the third step on the podium was played out between Khandzharmyrad Gyshikov, riding the horse Atbasar, and Annadurdy Ballyev, on the horse Galkynysh. The height of the obstacles was 1 meter 30 centimeters. Annadurdy Ballyev won the decisive round.
The winners of show jumping competitions will be awarded valuable prizes during the upcoming celebrations on the occasion of the National Day of the Turkmen Horse.
