The Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of the Republic of India have signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
On April 2, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind, who was paying his first state visit to Turkmenistan, took part in the ceremony of signing bilateral documents to strengthen the legal framework of the Turkmen-Indian cooperation in different fields.
These documents included the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of the Republic of India on cooperation in the field of youth.
The purpose of the Memorandum of Understanding is to strengthen and encourage cooperation in the field of youth through participation in the events and meetings organized by the parties.
The new document provides for increased cooperation in the specific areas, namely, the exchange of representatives of the youth and youth organizations and government officials in the field of youth policy, the participation in international conferences, seminars and festivals on youth affairs, and the exchange of experience and videos in this area.
