The Turkmenistan team will perform at the World Weightlifting Championships, which will be held in Tashkent.

The women’s team will be represented by Yulduz Jumabayeva, Byagul Berdyeva (both under 49 kg), Polina Guryeva (under 59 kg), Gulnabat Kadyrova (under 71 kg) and Aysoltan Toychieva (under 81 kg) in the women’s tournament that has been held for the 29th time.

The men’s team will will be represented by Seyitjan Mirzaev (under 61 kg), Maksat Meredov (under 73 kg), Rejepbay Rejepov, Shatlyk Shohradov (both under 81 kg), Rustam Annaberdiev (under 89 kg) and Khojamuhammet Toychiev (over 109 kg) in the men’s tournament that has been held for the 86th time.

432 athletes from 74 countries are expected to perform at the World Weightlifting Championships. Men and women will compete for large and small medals in a total of 20 weight categories
