A solemn meeting on the performance of the Turkmenistan national team at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games took place in the meeting room of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan.

Lecturers and students of Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports and representatives of institutions and organisations of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy of Turkmenistan and Ashgabat Main Department of Sport and Youth Policy attended the event.

The successful performance of a student from Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport Polina Guryeva, who won a silver medal for Turkmenistan at the Tokyo Summer Olympic Games, inspired our athletes for new feats in sports in the name of the sacred Motherland and people.

Those speaking at the ceremony noted that the President of Turkmenistan showed unceasing concern for athletes and created conditions conducive to training and performing Olympic athletes at international tournaments and championships. This concern has embodied in the first Olympic medal.
