A 1992 Olympic champion, gymnast Oksana Chusovitina, currently performing for Uzbekistan, announced the end of her gymnastics career.
46-year-old Chusovitina was unable to progress to the vault final of the Tokyo Olympic Games. Chusovitina is a unique representative of artistic gymnastics. She has participated in 8 Summer Olympics (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020).
