IOC unveils 2026 Winter Olympic Games emblem

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has unveiled the official emblem of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

The IOC noted that it was the first time in the history of the Games that a popular vote decided the Olympic Games logo. The two emblems – the Logo Dado and the Logo Futura reached the final stage. Votes were cast online; 871,000 people gave their votes for the logos. The Logo Futura won 74 per cent of the votes. This emblem is made up of the number 26 painted in gray.

The IOC noted that a global online vote opened on March 6, when two candidate emblems were unveiled at the San Remo Music Festival.

IOC’s 2026 Coordination Commission Chair Sari Essayah said the Logo Futura was «influenced by the themes of sport, solidarity and sustainability». «Futura illustrates a dynamic and modern design that reflects the fundamental values of its Olympic and the Paralympic Winter Games,» she continued.

The Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo will host the Olympic Winter Games from 6 to 26 February 2026.
