On March 11, 2020, at the building of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic named after K.Dikambayev the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held the round table «The Policy of Neutrality of Turkmenistan as an Instrument for Ensuring Peace and Security», dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassadors of foreign countries, representatives of intemational organizations, scientists, professors of higher educational institutions and Turkmen students studying in Kyrgyzstan.

At the beginning of the round table video dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan has been demonstrated to the participants. Rector of the Diplomatic Academy, representative of MFA of the KR, heads of diplomatic missions of Belarus, Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan in the Kyrgyz Republic as well as professors of the academy made their speeehes during the event.

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized the importance and characteristics of the Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan and introduced the achievements of Turkmenistan over 25 years of Neutrality in ensuring security and peace in the region in his speeeh.

He also noted the role of festive events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Neutrality and drew the attention of the participants to the High-level International Conference «The policy of neutrality and its importance in ensuring international peace, security and sustainable development' which will be held in Ashgabat on December 11-12, 2020.
