The Turkmen sportsmen won three medals (1 silver and 2 bronze) at the 8th Fudokan Karate World Championships, which took place in Sindelfingen, the Federative Republic of Germany from 1 to 3 November.

Durdymurat Meredov and Didar Babaev successfully performed in the Enbu tournament among the 16-18 year-old athletes and won silver medals. Durdymurat Meredov demonstrated the fighting spirit in the Shahsu ku tournament and took the 3rd place in the 16-18-year-old age group.

Our fighters Durdymurat Meredov, Didar Babaev and Didar Muradov performed successfully in the 16-18-year-old age group and won bronze medals in the Ku-go tournament.

The 8th Fudokan Karate World Championships brought together about 3,000 athletes from 50 countries of the world.

Chairman of the Karate Federation of Turkmenistan Hangeldy Hojaev performed as a judge at the World Championships in Sindelfingen.
