President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met in Tokyo with Turkmen students, who study in the higher educational institutions in Japan.

An informal meeting was held at the Chinzanso Tokyo Hotel, which became the residence of the Turkmen leader during the visit.

Addressing the students, the head of state attracted their attention to the issues related to education in general, international cooperation in education, and importance of training specialists of the most modern competence.

The Turkmen leader encouraged students to study the rich experience of Japan in technology, digitization, industrialization of the economy, and development of management decisions. All best practices should be implemented in Turkmenistan, in the workplace.

President of Turkmenistan focused on the agenda of the meeting with Japanese businessmen scheduled for October 23, where a key areas of cooperation to be considered. The Turkmen leader noted that transport, logistics and export promotion, the implementation of the transit potential and issues on upgrading the connectivity of the countries of the region in this regard are among them.

In addition, today, President of Turkmenistan also attended the ceremony celebrating the ascension of the new Emperor Naruhito to the imperial throne.
