Modern youth chooses sport! This is a result of the unceasing concern of the Turkmen state. Many new sports facilities have sprung up all over the country, bringing together on their arenas and fields a growing number of our young compatriots who are striving for high sporting achievements. This benchmark has been put at the forefront on a national scale. The Ahal Velayat Chief Department of Sport and Youth Policy is making its contribution to the national sport movement. It announced the Ahal velayat team chess tournament to mark the 28th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan, which would be held at the sports school in Anau from 21 to 22 September. 14-under boys and girls will compete in chess battels.
