The Turkmenistan team will receive the rivals from the Republic of Korea in a series of the 2022 World Cup qualifying tournaments at the Kopetdag Stadium in Ashgabat on September 10.

The rivals of the Turkmen football players in the 2022 World Cup qualifying tournaments – the national team of the Republic of Korea played for a draw 2:2 with the Georgia team in a friendly match, which was held at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul.

The Republic of Korea team played this friendly match in preparation for the World Cup 2022 qualifying game against the Turkmenistan team.

Turkmenistan defeated 2-0 Sri Lanka in the first round of the qualifying tournaments.
