School Student Wins Bronze Medal at the Asian Championship

Young chess players from Turkmenistan took part in the Asian School Chess Championship held from April 5 to 11 in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Turkmenistan was represented by four chess players. Osman Khamrakuliyev, a 7th-grade student of the Turkmen-Russian School named after A.S. Pushkin, won a bronze medal.

A total of 26 teams from 19 countries participated in the Asian School Championship.
