As part of the Universiade held under the motto “Turkmenistan — the Land of Health and High Spirituality,” chess competitions among male and female students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan took place.
Following an intense contest, the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports claimed victory in both the men’s and women’s categories. A significant contribution to this success was made by Serdar Seyitmyradov, Amanmuhammet Hommadov, Ogulsuray Bayrambayeva and Jeren Ibragimova.
According to the results of the exciting and competitive matches, the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction took second place among the men’s teams, while the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University ranked third.
Among the women’s teams, the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports won first place, the students of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Y. Kakayev came in second, and the students of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction took third place.
