From October 9 to 19, 2025, the Basketball Championship of Turkmenistan is being held among men’s and women’s teams. In the championship, the “Talyp Sport” team of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports took first place and earned the title of Champion of Turkmenistan. Accordingly, the “Ashgabat” sports club took second place, and the “Milli Gosun” (“National Army”) sports club took third place.

The championships of Turkmenistan in various sports serve as an important stage of preparation for teams and athletes who will represent the country in international competitions. Participation in national tournaments helps teams and coaches gain experience and improve their skills for successful performances at the global level.
