I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the International National Wrestling and Belt Wrestling Tournament Alysh, held on hospitable Turkmen soil in 2025 – the International Year of Peace and Trust!
I am confident that the current significant event in the sports chronicle of Turkmenistan will significantly strengthen international targeted cooperation, triumphantly establish peace and friendship, promote and popularize the principles of the Olympic Movement, as well as enhance the skills and experience of athletes in national wrestling and alysh belt wrestling.
In Turkmenistan, we attach great importance not only to the development of the mass sports and recreation movement, but also to high-performance sports through the training of strong athletes, coaches and specialized specialists. At the same time, following the noble path of our ancestors, we consider sport as an important area of cooperation with various countries of the planet and as an effective tool for strengthening the bonds of friendship between peoples.

In the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, multi–purpose stadiums, sports and recreation complexes, sports schools and other facilities are being consistently built and put into operation throughout the country – in the regions, the capital Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag.
By taking relevant initiatives on the sidelines of the United Nations, our independent, neutral State, as a member of the International Olympic Committee and the Olympic Council of Asia, makes a significant contribution to strengthening international cooperation in the field of sports and promoting the Olympic Movement. Turkmenistan is creating the necessary conditions and opportunities for hosting the Asian Games, continental Championships and World Championships at a high level.
The adoption of the Resolution "United Nations Friendship Games" at the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly at the 78th session of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, the announcement of Ashgabat at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS as the "City of New Sports Opportunities of the Commonwealth", as well as the Tennis Complex in the structure of the Olympic Campus, attest to the broad support in the international arena for our reforms in the field of sports the Training Center of the Asian region by the Asian Tennis Federation.

Our ancestors, who lived in the heart of the Great Silk Road, in the ancient Turkmen land, attached special importance to wrestling in the context of educating a physically strong and strong–minded generation, and formed a kind of national wrestling training school.
Turkmen, who wholeheartedly guarded their heritage – national wrestling, have been honing their skills for many centuries, making a significant contribution to the formation and development of wrestling as a separate sport. Today, the art of fighting of our people is being consistently improved.
Along with national wrestling, much attention is paid to other disciplines of this sport, including belt wrestling alysh. Our athletes successfully compete in international competitions in national wrestling and belt wrestling alysh.
