In the multifunctional sports complex of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports futsal competitions were held within the framework of the XIV Universiade Turkmenistan – the country of spirituality and health.

Teams from 18 higher educational institutions of the country participated in the tournament, which was held to promote sports and a healthy lifestyle. They were divided into two groups.

The teams Talyp sporty of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports and Gara altyn of the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshigeldy Kakayev met in the final match. The team Talyp sporty won with a score of 4:1 and became the winner of the Universiade.

The third place was won by the team Maliechi Turkmen State Institute of Finance.
