Turkmenistan representatives won one gold and one silver medal at the Central Asian Classic Chess Championship among boys and girls aged 8 to 16, which took place in Korumdu (Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan).The Turkmenistan team was represented by five players - two boys and 3 girls, two of whom climbed the podium.In the category among girls under 8 schoolgirl from Mary region Aylar Hemraeva (FIDE rating -1483) won the gold medal, scoring 7.5 points out of 9 possible. In the girls under 10 category nine-year-old Ashgabat schoolgirl and alumnus of the first private chess academy "Kusht Alemi" Lale Vepayeva (FIDE rating -1481) won the silver medal with a score of 6.5 points out of 9 possible.
