Today at the martial arts sports complex of the Ashgabat Olympic Village festive events were held under the motto «Ashgabat – a city of sports opportunities and achievements», dedicated to the announcement of the capital of Turkmenistan as the City of New Sports Opportunities of the Commonwealth, TDH reports.

At the main entrance of the martial arts sports complex there is an exhibition of the achievements of domestic athletes, the exhibition of which includes awards of various denominations won at prestigious international competitions.

Also here, in honour of today’s significant event, a festive concert and demonstration performances of athletes who won prizes at international competitions were organized.

Expressing sincere gratitude to the head of state Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Hero-Arkadag for their constant concern for the popularization of sports and a healthy lifestyle, the creation of conditions in the country for practicing various sports and achieving new outstanding sports victories, the winners of international competitions wholeheartedly wished them good health and happiness and success in large-scale activities for the benefit of the native people and the Fatherland.
