Turkmen volleyball players won silver medals of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nations League in Pakistan

The Turkmenistan national team won silver medals of the CAVA Nations League, which took place from May 9 to 17 in Islamabad, Pakistan, with six participating teams.

In the first stage of the competition, the participants of the CAVA Nations League played against each other in a round-robin format, after which the two best teams competed in the final for the top prize.

The Turkmen volleyball players earned the right to play in the decisive match for the prestigious trophy by finishing 2nd after the group stage, with victories over the teams of Kyrgyzstan – 3:0, Afghanistan – 3:1, Sri Lanka – 3:0, and losses to Iran – 2:3 and Pakistan – 1:3.

In the final the team coached by Serdar Tachnazarov faced off against the Pakistan volleyball players, who had gone undefeated in the group stage of the competition.

The final match was fiercely contested and ended with a victory for the hosts – 3:1.

The bronze medals went to the Kyrgyzstan national team, which defeated the Sri Lanka team 3:1 in the match for 3rd place.
