A ceremony to honour the athletes who had successfully performed at the international tournaments took place on the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Martial Arts Complex of the Ashgabat Olympic Town. The athletes, who had showed high results, received the memorable gifts and the book “Yaşlar – Watanyň Daýanjy” by the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag.
…An exhibition of the achievements of Turkmen athletes, featuring awards and medals of prestigious international competitions, as well as artworks and handicrafts, was arranged at the main entrance of the Martial Arts Complex.
The National Anthem of Turkmenistan was played in honour of the sports heroes.
The valuable gifts were presented on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the distinguished athletes, who won prizes at the international competitions in January-April 2024, under thunderous applause from numerous participants of the ceremony in a solemn atmosphere.
On the same day, a ceremony of awarding the gifts on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero Arkadag to the athletes who ranked second and third in the international sports tournaments took place at the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports.
