In the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, the state policy priorities are to improve the health of the people, raise physically and spiritually healthy generations and promote the sports and Olympic movement in Turkmenistan.

The sports movement in Turkmenistan is expanding with every passing year. Arkadag City – the first smart city in the country with excellent sports complexes that meet international standards sprang up at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains. In Arkadag City, the multidiscipline sports complex, a stadium and the Water Sports Centre were built to promote physical activity and sports.

Currently, the Turkmen athletes – the participants of the World Kurash Championships are intensively training at the sports complexes of Arkadag City.

The 14th World Kurash Championships will be held at the martial arts complex of the Ashgabat Olympic Town on November 23-28, 2023.

The fact that Turkmenistan will host the 2023 World Kurash Championships testifies to the recognition of the contribution of our country to the international sports movement.
