The solemn ceremony of greeting the Turkmen sports delegation and raising the State Flag of Turkmenistan took place in the Flag Plaza of the Asian Games Village in the capital of the 19th Summer Asian Games.

The envoys of the Turkmen state, who has a great honour to represent their homeland at the main sports competitions of the year, were greeted by Mayor of the Hangzhou Asian Games Village Lu Chunqiang, who wished great sporting achievements to the athletes from Turkmenistan.

The green banner of our country will fly in the sky of Hangzhou until the closing of the Asian Games. Together with the Turkmen athletes, the delegations from Macau, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, East Timor and Vietnam took part in the flag-raising ceremony.

The representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Asian Games and the media of China and other countries participated in the ceremony.
