The tournaments of the II CIS Games involving Turkmen athletes continue on the sports arenas of Belarus.
A Turkmen weightlifter Yulduz Jumabayeva won a silver medal in the under 49 kg weight category at the II CIS Games. According to the results of two events, she lifted 161 kg (71+90) and lost the first line to Elizaveta Zhatkina from Russia (total of 171 kg/77+94).
A Turkmen weightlifter Ali Babamuradov won a silver medal in the under 55 kg weight category with the result of 215 kg (95+120) in the combined event.
A Turkmen judoka Nasiba Narimanov won a bronze medal in the under 63 kg weight category.
Behruz Bahridinov won a bronze medal in the under 50 kg weight category of the men’s tournament. Having successfully overcome the stages of the preliminary round, the Turkmen athlete reached the semi-final and achieved the final result.
A judoka Dilara Kandymova brought another bronze medal in the under 40 kg weight category to the Turkmenistan national team.
