On June 5, the Central Asian Team Tennis Championships started in Ashgabat. The tournament will finish on June 9. Boys and girls under 12 from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are taking part in the competition.

4 years later, Turkmenistan is hosting this regional tournament for the second time under the auspices of the International Tennis Federation and the Asian Tennis Federation.

The aim of the Central Asian Team Tennis Championships in Ashgabat is to reveal promising young tennis players, improve the techniques and the prospect for performing at the Olympic Games.

To host such international competitions, our country has modern outdoor and indoor tennis courts with stands designed for 200-400 spectators in the magnificent Olympic Town that meets international standards.

Today’s younger generation of Turkmen tennis players, who are participating in the Central Asian Team Tennis Championships, is the future of Turkmen big tennis. We have no doubt that they will make every effort and demonstrate the will to win to raise the sporting prestige of our country, whose sacred banner will fly high at this international sports festival in Ashgabat!
