South Korean singer and BTS member Jungkook and Qatari singer Fahad Al Kubaisi performed at the ceremony. They performed the song “Dreamers”.
The FIFA World Cup kicked off on November 20, 2022 at Al Bayt Stadium. Qatar and Ecuador played in the opening match. Ecuador won 2-0.
