A Turkmen weightlifter Dovranbek Hasanbaev (96 kg) lifted 165 kg in the snatch at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. This result brought him a silver medal.
The Turkmen athlete lifted 183 kg in the clean and jerk and ranked fifth in the tournament. Dovranbek ranked fourth with the total result of 348 kg in the standings.
D. Hasanbaev’s opponents were athletes from Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Sudan.
The 5th Islamic Solidarity Games are scheduled to be held from 9 to 18 August in Konya, Turkey
