A Turkmen weightlifter Gulnabat Kadyrova (71 kg) won the champion title at the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games. Our athlete won a gold medal in the snatch (107 kg) and a bronze medal in the clean and jerk (118 kg) in intense competition with athletes from the Islamic Republic of Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Indonesia. She became a champion with the total result of 225 kg in the standings.

The 5th Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkey will last until August 18. More than 4,000 athletes from 56 states are taking part in the Games.
