The Turkmen athletes achieved great success in early July this year, which is being held under the motto ‘the Era of the People with Arkadag’. About 2,000 athletes from 22 countries took part in the International Kickboxing Tournament in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Turkmen kickboxer Gochmyrat Jumanyyazov made a great performance. Our compatriot competed in the 75-kilogramme weight class event and defeated all his opponents. Thus, the talented Turkmen kickboxer triumphed at the international tournament.

It should be noted that this victory is not the first success of Gochmyrat. As is known, our kickboxer competed in large events and won a medal at the V Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which were held in the Turkmen capital in 2017.

The Uzbekistan Sports Complex hosted all matches of the tournament in Tashkent. This victory of the Turkmen athlete demonstrates the harmonious development of our national school of kickboxing, which has an increasing popularity in the world.
