The adoption of the Resolution ‘Integration of mainstream bicycling into public transportation systems for sustainable development’ by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of our country and the Turkmenistan’s election as a member of the UN Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) for 2022–2028 indicate that the international prestige of our country is growing. In this context, it should be noted that two cycling events held in Turkmenistan were inscribed on the Guinness World Records and demonstrated the great concern for promotion of cycling in our country.

The event dedicated to the adoption of the Resolution ‘Integration of mainstream bicycling into public transportation systems for sustainable development’ by the UN General Assembly at the initiative of our country was held in the Turkmen capital. The importance of bicycle as public transport was highlighted at the event. Thus, giving importance to the bicycle as public transport will become an important part of the successful implementation of environmental policy in Turkmenistan.

The conference ‘Dünýä uzar ynsanperwer, hoşniýetli menziller, Arkadagly Serdarymyz, Size alkyş egsilmez’ was organized by the Ashgabat Main Department on Sports and Youth Policy and had great importance. The participants noted the contribution of our Motherland to the adoption of the Resolution ‘Integration of mainstream bicycling into public transportation systems for sustainable development’ by the UN General Assembly. They wished success in launching new initiatives of our country, which attracts special attention of international organizations. The participants of the event expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for enhancing the international prestige of our Motherland.
