The President of Turkmenistan took part in a solemn parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of independence, where a special place was given to the sports system. A motor platform of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Policy crossed the festive square. A large group of athletes marched and cycled in review in front of the Government tribune. The group included the masters of sports, the winners and medallists of the international and national events.

The colourful panel depicted the modern multi-purpose stadiums and sports complexes, which were built last years, with excellent conditions for doing different sports.

The unique Olympic Village, which has no equals in the region, is a special pride of the Turkmen people, and its construction marked the creation of the national sports system that meets the requirements of the International Olympic Committee.

The participation of our national team in the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, became one of the highlights this year. The first Olympic medal in the new history of the Turkmen sports was won, and the silver medallist, weightlifter Polina Guryeva congratulated the guests on a specially decorated car.

The sports system had a special place in the festivities to demonstrate the high level of attention paid to this sphere.
