Norway’s Karsten Warholm broke the world record in the 400-metre hurdles at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
Warholm won the final in a new world record time of 45.94. His previous record set in Norway on July 1 this year was 46.70. The prior world record belonged for 29 years to America’s Kevin Young, who ran 46.78 seconds.
The two-time world champion won the first Olympic gold in his career.
