The second stage of the Russian rally-raid championship - “Gold of the Kagan-2019”, held in the Astrakhan region, has come to an end. In addition to the tournament hosts, athletes from Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Finland and Ukraine took part in the competition.

500 riders challenged primacy in the class of off-road vehicles, trucks and all-terrain vehicles. For three days, the rally-raid participants overcame more than 700 kilometers of a difficult road, which is a mix of steppe roads and desert routes along the Astrakhan dunes.

Merdan Toiliev and Shokhrat Toiliev, who participated in the Зол Gold Kagana-2019 rally-raid on the Nissan Patrol, took second place. Another duo of Turkmen riders - Begnazar Nuryagdyev and Muhammetmyrat Gurbanov, representing our country in the open championship of the Astrakhan region on the Mitsubishi L200 SUV, won third place.
