On June 6, 2020, as part of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Austria organised the bike ride in Vienna.

OSCE Secretary General, Ambassadors of OSCE participating states, diplomats from over 25 countries as well as representatives of international organizations in Vienna attended this event.

Before the start of the bike ride, the participants were informed that the UN General Assembly established the World Bicycle Day, which was celebrated a few days ago, on the initiative of President of Turkmenistan. It was noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of cycling and the annual mass bike ride has become a good tradition in the country.

Bike rides involving Turkmen students and citizens were also organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in London and by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kingdom of Belgium in Brussels.
