Turkmenistan’s Combat Sambo team begins its trainings in Russia on February 1. Within two weeks, 18 athletes will train in the «Yermak» Krasnodar mixed martial arts club under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Along with the Sports Sambo team, they will prepare for the international tournament for prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus, which will be held in Minsk on February 20-21.
According to the National Federation of martial arts, it is not the first time that Turkmen sambists have been training at this sports school, where Russian champions and masters of sports were brought up. Tactics the coaching staff of the «Yermak» club, headed by Konstantin Shtabnoi is focused on a thorough physical preparation of athletes.
Previously, the Turkmen team also trained at the International Olympic Academy of Sports of Kstovo in Russia and the Thai Boxing Academy (AKA) in Phuket, Thailand.
And in March, athletes will perform at the Sambo World Cup «Memorial of A.A. Kharlampiev», which will be held in Moscow. Among the most promising sportsmen of the Turkmen national team are Novruz Ataev, Kerimberdi Dovletov, Ahmet Tanriberdiev, Rustem Penjiev, Babajan Ivadullaev and others.
